On Lessons and Balancing – Thal’s Story

Widescope Advertising Agency

By WIDESCOPE

In a fast-paced work environment like Widescope Advertising Agency, every day is exciting and filled with new challenges. “For me, not a day goes by in Widescope that is not eventful and memorable,” Thal says. “As an Account Executive, nothing in my work is routinary. Each project is a new experience and opportunity to learn something new which I can use in the future.”

Thal, recently having celebrated her first anniversary at the agency, finds the past year to be filled of new lessons. “Since starting at Widescope, I have become more mature and patient,” she reflects.

“Working with many different people can be tiring at times and work can get busy. I realized that sometimes, being a grown up means not everything is going to be convenient. No matter how hectic things may seem, you have to be mature and face it.”

A mental health advocate since 2017, Thal has been very vocal about the importance and value of mental health. “I’m a firm believer that even though mental health is not as visible as physical health, it still exists and matters a lot,” she says.

She believes that having an outlet to let out steam, especially after an eventful day at work, is essential to keeping both physically and mentally fit.

“Since I’m very passionate about my job, being at the agency never feels like actual work. Even though I like working here, I still don’t want my daily life to be 90% just work. I am not going to deny that there are times when I do not feel my best. In order to be as productive as I can be, I really make it a point to allot time for myself. I think it’s important for both my physical and mental health to reward myself especially after a long day because too much work could also equate to burnout.”

Thal also credits her co-workers’ supportiveness and friendship for making her feel more productive and relaxed when things get busy.

“The support system I have in my co-workers is something I deeply appreciate,” she adds, “Although I love what I’m doing, it does get tiring sometimes. Having everyone’s happy faces always around to cheer me up helps keep me motivated and focused. The working environment and support you’ll find here at Widescope is really something very special.”
