From dreamer to leader: How Cristina has grown with Widescope in five years

Widescope Advertising Agency

By Eunice Basco

Cristina walked into the doors of Widescope Advertising Agency five years ago. As soon as she entered, she noticed people rocking unconventional office wear and an Incubus song playing in the background – one of her favorite bands. It was a cool workplace, she thought, looking forward to being accepted as an Account Executive.

A true goal-getter, Cristina secured her desired position. From then on, she had worked diligently in collaborating with the Widescope team and growing as a professional and individual. She was also given room to make mistakes, learn from them, and further hone her skills.

With her passion and perseverance, Cristina was promoted to Senior Account Executive, Account Manager, then Associated Head of Accounts in the following years. Now, she is one of the trusted leaders who ensure that Widescope maintains excellence and strives for more development.

No matter the task assigned to her, she defines her goals to have a clear vision of what is expected from her and work toward achieving this. She reckons, “when I know my purpose, everything just flows naturally.” As she believes she should “try anyway” and “be patient” with herself amidst worries, fears, and self-doubts, she overcomes any challenges that come her way.

Because she remains motivated, she has contributed to the acquisition of new clients and completion of various projects. As she matures, Widescope develops alongside her. Thanks to outstanding individuals like Cristina, the agency can always deliver top-class solutions, ranging from advertising to digital and entertainment services.

Besides helping Widescope thrive and nurturing relationships with clients, Cristina is also looking after the team as a mentor and learning with everyone. She fondly remembers the people who have been by her side, grateful for her colleagues who are patient with her and value her skills, knowledge, and contributions.

In retrospect, the memory of her first encounter with Widescope – the day she realized it was her ideal workplace – seems distant now but nonetheless sweet to remember. If she could, she would advise her younger self to “meet people where they’re at, not where I’m at” and “avoid labelling experiences as good or bad.”

A wiser Cristina sets her eyes forward, ready to take on new endeavors and conquer obstacles. She has been an invaluable asset over the past five years, and the team is thankful for her. As she creates more paths and refines existing ones for herself and the agency, Widescope supports her in every step.

We are proud of you, Cristina!
