Meet Widescope Entertainment’s newest OPM band – year 2021 is off to a grand start for the label with the recent signing of up-and-coming rock band 46 Hope St.

Formed by vocalist and guitarist Meds Rana with longtime church friends bassist Ryan Gonzales and drummer Aaron Dolleton, the three-piece band from Southern Manila has been a part of the music scene since 2019. The approach 46 Hope St. takes to songwriting is one that pits poetic, hard-hitting lyrics against harmoniously memorable melodies. Equal parts raw and self-empowering, the band’s sound is fueled by pure honesty and emotion that their fast growing fan base just cannot seem to get enough of.
The artistry 46 Hope St. takes in creating music is something Widescope Entertainment Artist & Repertoire Manager and OPM icon Ebe Dancel sees great potential in. He says of the trio’s signing, “I’m personally very excited to have 46 Hope St. at Widescope Entertainment. This rock band has a way with words and melodies and I believe the world needs to hear their songs.”
The band is just the first of many boundary-pushing Filipino artists Widescope Entertainment will work with this year. Looking ahead, the label will focus on some big, exciting plans as it continues to expand its roster and champion Filipino music. Watch out for more music from Widescope Entertainment.
