Opportunities for growth are rarely ever found in your comfort zone. The digital landscape is ever-changing; it takes a different level of tenacity and skill to take it on. Recognizing the nature of these changes, intelligence, and excellent business acumen are just some of the building blocks to successfully navigating it. There also lies a certain kind of creativity in digital, behind the technology, algorithms, and code. Understanding the human aspects of digital has lead Phoebe Lintag to do great things and achieve her new role as a Digital Marketing Manager.

She joined Widesope back in 2018 as an advertising graduate with some prior experience. Phoebe shares how daunting the initial experience was. She says: “I didn’t even really know if I was going to last. You go into a room filled with that many talented people, and it’s impossible not to feel a little intimidated.” However, that’s what makes for a great environment. Being surrounded by some of the best and brightest in the industry can only help develop us further. Some growing pains were definitely a part of her journey as she straddled the line of creativity and business. She shares: “It took some time, but soon enough, I felt my internal thought patterns shift. I challenged the rules I initially had for myself and discovered who I truly am. I felt confident in what I brought to the table and what my purpose was in the team.”

Finding her footing in digital’s corporate structure was a roller coaster ride full of mixed emotions for Phoebe. Juggling multiple roles with a hand in various projects all at once had her thinking on her toes and constantly coming up with creative solutions. It’s this experience that’s also significantly developed her incredible project management skills. Being an integral part of the Rank1 Digital team, Phoebe shares her favorite part of a day in digital: “It’s a great team. We’ve been able to balance productivity and efficiency really well. Seeing the consistency in how hard they work only serves to motivate me to deliver in even bigger and better ways.” This innate feeling of being called to serve those around her has gotten not just Phoebe but the digital team to where it is today.

Talking to her colleagues and managers, they share that Phoebe’s soft-hearted and outgoing nature clearly takes center stage. Previous projects that focused on the agency’s corporate social responsibilities and giving back have even brought tears to the then Marketing officer’s eyes. A sentiment that she herself admits. When looking back and talking about the moments in her journey that have stood out most, she shares: “I’ve always been quick to cry for some reason. Whether it’s during the happy moments or due to my frustrations, I get emotional. I’ve never thought of doing it differently, though, as it’s made me into who I am today.” Self-awareness is a great quality of a leader. It’s kept her feet on the ground even as she’s reached multiple accomplishments. It’s also contributed to the mutual respect and understanding fostered between her and the Digital team. Even as a leader, her appreciation of everyone’s input and ideas has developed a great synergy in the team’s dynamics.

As she continues to do great things, she attributes her success to her willingness to embrace the challenges in front of her and not shy away from them. Facing these struggles head-on and seeing them as opportunities for growth and further development have helped get her to where she is. She also isn’t one to discount those who have been with her on the journey. She shares that the people who have always supported her and believed in what she could do served as her motivation to deliver great work. An individual who wants to share her knowledge and is still willing to learn herself can’t be stopped.
